PATHWAY U17-U20
Darvel Football Club operates a structured player development pathway connecting local youth football up to the senior first team. This system integrates community youth setups like Galston Youth FC with the club’s older age-group squads.
Structure of the Pathway
Youth & Grassroots: teams starting from age seven up to teens, providing foundational training and matches through aligned community clubs.
Intermediate & Transition (U17 to U20): Players advance through Under-17, Under-18, and Under-20 squads, where promising prospects regularly train alongside and feed into the 1st Team.
Senior First Team: A proven track record enables top youth graduates to step directly into the Darvel Football Club 1st Team managed by Nacho Novo.
